Try a review, with the evidence in view

Choose a theme, open a comment and change its category, owner or status. The counts update from the records you edit. Download the reviewed sample as a CSV to inspect the structure.

What is customer feedback analysis?

Customer feedback analysis turns open-ended comments into a structured view of needs, friction and positive experiences. Read the source, group related observations, then decide what to investigate or change. A theme such as “setup” becomes useful when you can see the specific obstacle, the customers reporting it and the next owner. Teable connects that analysis to an editable workspace..

Keep the quote behind every theme

Start with survey exports, support notes or interview transcripts. Preserve one source record per comment, with its original wording, date, channel and customer reference.

Inspect before you prioritize
Open the comments behind a theme. Distinguish several messages from one account from the same issue reported by several customers.
Separate signals from conclusions
A frustrated comment can contain a useful feature request. Keep sentiment, topic and your proposed action in separate fields so the team can challenge each conclusion.

Use AI fields, then review the categories

In Teable, configure AI fields to suggest a summary, sentiment, existing tags or a draft reply for each row. Write clear category definitions and test a small selection first. Keep the original text alongside generated values while reviewers correct ambiguous results.

Make categories reusable
Use single select for one primary theme or multiple select for overlapping topics. Define when to use an “Other” category and review those records together.
Read mixed feedback carefully
“Helpful team, slow delivery” describes two different experiences. Allow mixed sentiment and retain the relevant quote instead of forcing every comment into praise or complaint.

Follow the issue through to its outcome

Connect reviewed feedback to a customer and an action. Add an owner, a next step and a status your team understands. Review the unresolved queue during planning, and return to the original comments when deciding whether a change addresses the problem.

Track decisions explicitly
Record why a request was accepted, deferred or closed. A resolved status describes the team’s action; new customer feedback helps you check the result.
Keep replies ready for a human
Use a draft field for a response that cites the actual issue and agreed next step. The responsible teammate reviews the wording and chooses when to send it.

One workspace, four connected tables

Separate evidence, reusable categories, customer context and execution. Keep stable IDs when importing the next batch.

Feedback

Source ID · original comment · date · channel · sentiment · theme

Store the observation and its classification. Keep a source link for an authorized reviewer to return to the full conversation.

Themes

Theme · definition · linked feedback · review notes

Give each theme a clear definition. Link the comments that support it, and refine categories when two labels describe the same problem.

Customers

Customer ID · segment · linked feedback · account context

Use the identifiers you already hold. Compare feedback by customer group without pasting contact details into every comment.

Actions

Action · linked evidence · owner · due date · status

Connect an investigation or improvement to its evidence. Give the team a filtered view of open work and decisions awaiting review.

Three starting points for your next review

SaaS onboarding

A product team compares cancellation notes with first-week support tickets, keeping repeat messages from the same account together.

Create Feedback, Themes, Customers and Actions tables from my onboarding export. Preserve source IDs and quotes. Suggest setup themes with definitions, allow mixed sentiment, and leave uncertain rows for review. Show distinct customers per theme and open actions by owner.

Subscription service

Operations reviews delivery comments alongside positive service notes, with a separate action queue for service recovery.

Organize these delivery survey comments by issue and service area. Keep the original response and date, suggest sentiment, and link each issue to an action owner. Separate repeated comments from distinct customers. Draft follow-ups for review without sending them.

B2B account requests

Customer success brings recurring reporting requests to planning with the relevant account context and original evidence.

Build an account feedback review from these call notes. Keep each request linked to its source quote and customer. Group reporting needs, record the decision and next step, and create views for requests awaiting product review and actions in progress.

From the first file to a repeatable review

  1. 1

    Prepare the evidence

Choose a time window and one review question. Export authorized comments with stable IDs, remove unnecessary personal details, and attach the file above or describe your source.

  2. 2

    Agree the classification

Ask Teable to build the tables and configure AI fields. Review a varied sample, including short, multilingual and mixed comments, before applying the categories more widely.

  3. 3

    Review actions together

Confirm owners and next steps. Save views for unresolved issues and unclassified records; reuse the structure for the next import and check for repeated source IDs.

Customer feedback analysis questions

Can I start for free?

Yes. The interactive example is free to use without an account. Teable also has a Free plan with AI fields and a one-time AI credit allowance. Your plan determines record, storage and AI usage limits; compare the current plans before processing a larger batch. Plans and pricing

What feedback can I bring?

Use a spreadsheet of survey answers, exported support tickets or notes you are allowed to process. Include one comment per row, a stable source ID, date and customer reference where available. Attach a file in the prompt box or describe the source you want to connect.

Does the example analyze my uploaded feedback?

The example uses six fictional records to demonstrate review, filtering and export. To work with your own feedback, attach it above and build a Teable workspace. There you can configure and run AI fields against your imported records.

Can a comment have several themes or mixed sentiment?

Yes. In your Teable workspace, use multiple-select tags for overlapping themes and a separate sentiment field that includes mixed or unclear. The example uses one primary theme per record so the counts are easy to follow. Read the source when the labels disagree.

How should I count repeated feedback?

Use source IDs to check duplicate imports and customer IDs to distinguish comments from customers. Three tickets from one account are three comments and one customer. Choose the date window and counting rule before comparing themes; a tag count alone does not measure impact.

Can I connect a source or add a review webpage?

Yes. Use the data-source or webpage entry in the prompt box to prepare your request. After signing in, authorize the source you choose and specify the records or pages to use. For recurring imports, configure the update process and review access with the source owner.

How do we handle private comments and replies?

Import only the fields your review needs and give access to the appropriate teammates. Use customer IDs when contact details are unnecessary. Store generated replies as drafts so an owner can check the source, choose the next step and send the response through the team’s usual channel.
