Start with a contact

Use the contact’s Latin-letter spelling (a–z). Hyphens and apostrophes are kept; join compound names as the company does.

What does an email permutator do?

An email permutator combines a person’s name with a company domain using explicit naming rules. You get possible addresses and their formats, ready to narrow down and check against a published source. It is a useful starting point when you know who you want to contact but only have their name and company.

Full names
Formats such as first.last keep both name parts. Choose the spelling used in the contact’s professional profile, especially for compound surnames.
Initials
A company may use an initial with a surname. The shortlist shows the rule beside the address so you can compare it with a known company format.
Exact domains
An email domain can differ from the public website. Use an address published by the company as your reference; the tool keeps the domain you enter.

Turn possible formats into a focused check

Start with evidence from the company rather than trying every address. A published staff contact can help you choose which formats belong on your shortlist.

Keep the naming rule visible
Compare first.last or initial-plus-surname against a known address from the same company. A matching format is a clue for your next check.
Keep candidates separate from confirmed contacts
Every generated row starts as To verify. Record a published source or a separate verification result before moving it into an outreach list.
Keep only useful rows
Deselect formats you do not need before copying or exporting. Identical addresses are removed automatically, including when initials produce the same result.

Three ways to use a shortlist

Account research

A sales researcher has a named procurement contact and a company domain. Generate formats, compare them with a published team address, and hand the shortlist to the account owner with its source.

Recruiting research

A recruiter has a candidate’s professional name with a middle initial. Use the optional middle-name field, keep the relevant formats and record the identity check separately from the email status.

Partner introductions

A partnerships team receives an introduction without an email address. Keep the introducing colleague, candidate address and next action together so another teammate can finish the check.

Give the shortlist a place to move forward

Bring selected candidates into a Teable workspace request, or download the CSV for an existing table. Keep the generated address beside the evidence and review work, so a candidate never becomes a confirmed contact just because it was copied.

One candidate per row
Keep name, domain and format together. Add a contact identifier when you combine several exports, so duplicate names remain distinguishable.
Evidence beside the status
Add source URL, checked date and verification result. An unknown result stays unknown until someone has new evidence.
A clear owner and next action
Assign the research to a teammate and group the table by review status. Use the same list for handoffs instead of sending fresh copies around.

From a name to a usable shortlist

  1. Choose the spelling

Enter first and last name as used professionally. Add a middle name only when it helps match the company’s convention.

  2. Review the candidates

Generate the list and inspect its format labels. Select the rows you want to investigate; change inputs and generate again whenever needed.

  3. Take the next action

Copy or download the shortlist. Continue in Teable to organize the review, then confirm the relevant address before contacting anyone.

Email permutator questions

Is this email permutator free?

Yes. Generating, selecting, copying and downloading candidates on this page is free and needs no account. These actions use no AI credits. Creating a workspace in Teable is a separate step governed by your plan. See Teable pricing

Does it find a working mailbox?

It generates possible addresses from naming rules. Check a published source or use a separate email verification service to assess an address before outreach. Generated rows are labeled To verify.

What happens to the information I enter?

The generator processes the name and domain in your browser. It does not look them up on an external service. Choosing the Teable button carries the selected candidates into your workspace request; downloading CSV saves a file on your device. Files selected in the batch section are uploaded to Teable.

How should I enter accents or non-Latin names?

Use the Latin-letter spelling the contact or company publishes. Enter a–z, hyphens or apostrophes; join multi-part names according to the company’s convention. Choose the spelling yourself rather than relying on an automatic transliteration.

Can I use a website URL as the domain?

Yes. Paste a domain, website URL or company email address; the field extracts the domain automatically and keeps subdomains. Use the company’s email domain if it differs from its website.

Can I generate addresses for a whole list?

For a full list, use this page’s batch section: upload CSV or Excel, adjust the task and continue in Teable. Include each person’s name and email domain on the same row; keep contact IDs to distinguish people with the same name.

What is included in the CSV?

Only your selected rows, with first name, last name, optional middle name, domain, candidate address, format and review status. The CSV uses UTF-8 and quoted cells for spreadsheet import.

Does the Teable button send emails?

It starts a request to build a contact research table using the selected candidates. Review the table and add your source checks, owners and next actions. Email sending is a separate action.
